Hey guys, welcome back to the podcast. I'm excited to be with you, talking about being a conscious coach today. I have so many fun things happening behind the scenes, but this has been on my mind, like, what does it mean to be a conscious coach? And I've talked about this before, but I kind of wanted to revisit this as a big idea.
The reason that I call my podcast The Conscious Coach Podcast is because I believe in creating your life and business consciously. To me, it means being super intentional. It means working from the inside out. It means that your beliefs shape and construct your reality.
And I wanted to kind of tie that all together, cause many, many, many of my listeners are coaches. I would say most of my listeners are coaches, not all of them. Because I think we talk about things that are related to making money and building a business, but also just about being the best of yourself, being who you want to be in the world.
And so today is specifically going to be about being a coach, being a conscious coach and what that means. And so I made a little brainstorming list of the things that I wanted to talk about today, just what it means to me to be a conscious coach and I consider many of my clients who I mentor, who are also coaches, doing this work, the things that we all have in common, the things that we're working towards.
And the first thing that came to mind is that we just have a strong desire to help other people succeed. You can make money doing anything, but you chose to be a coach, right? That's something that is on your heart to do in this world. And I just think it's really cool that there's a whole industry, a whole career path lined out for people whose mission is to help other people and support other people, as a coach.
The thing that I think separates out conscious coaches from others, not that it's bad to not be a conscious coach, but obviously I stand for this, this is who I want to be in the world. The thing that I think speaks to this the most is that we know that we create our reality with our beliefs, thoughts, energy, words, and actions.
And we also know that this is how our clients do the same. How our clients create their results, their reality, is with their beliefs, thoughts, energy, words, and actions and we help them align those things to get what they want and to create what they want. On the business side of things, the conscious coach knows that they create money.
You don't just land on money. You don't get lucky. You would never say that, because you know that you create the clients and the money and the success with your beliefs and with your aligned action. You would never say, oh, that coach got so lucky. You would see the coach who's successful and know that they lined up their beliefs, their thoughts, their energy, their words, and their actions to create that and that that success is available and possible for you.
And I love the word create, we're going to talk about that a lot today. Everything that I want, and that doesn't require hustle, it doesn't require overworking, it doesn't require getting lucky, it is not an accident, right? It was very intentional. Whatever you want to create, you can with, like we talked about, aligning your beliefs, your thoughts, your energy, your words, and your actions.
That's how it's done. It's not an accident. It's not a fluke. It's not a coincidence. People didn't get lucky. They created it and you can too.
The next thing that I think being a conscious coach means is that you approach your clients holistically. To me, this means mind, body, spirit. This means, you know, the values that they have, the things that they want. It's not just one thing that you help your clients with.
I really, really resonate with this on a one on one level, but I think a lot of my clients feel the same, right? It's like, if you're a business coach, you also want your clients to have great relationships. If you're a relationship coach, you also want them to feel great about their body image and you also want them to have peace of mind with their finances and you want them to be healthy, right?
And so I love thinking about the conscious coach thinks about, imagines, desires their client's success in a holistic way. To me, that means just like a multifaceted approach to your client's work. I know for me, I want my clients to have everything that they want. And even if I identify as a business coach, or a money coach, or a life coach, or a relationship coach, whatever you identify as, you have a desire for your clients to succeed holistically.
And so the way that you coach them is not just from one angle. It is taking all things into consideration. For me, it's like I'm a business coach, but if my clients need to work through their marriage stuff, we do that. If my clients need to work through money blocks, we do that. And I think that that is how most coaches operate, right?
It's not just like, well, I can't talk about that because I'm a relationship coach. It's like, no, bring it to the table. Let's talk about it. I'm in your corner. Like, let's work through whatever you need to work through. It's kind of the mentality that I think the conscious coach understands that business success is created from the inside out.
I think there's a lot to be said about strategies, and marketing, and funnels, and price strategies, and sales tactics, and all these things that go into business. But the conscious coach knows that that's not what makes or breaks a coach’s success.
They know that business is created from the inside out, meaning that it starts with your mind. It starts with the paradigm in which you see your life and what you think is possible. It starts with your beliefs. It starts with how you speak about yourself and money and clients coming to you, or not. You can't outwork, well people try, you can't outwork a self concept that says you'll never have what you want or you'll never make money. You start with the inner work/ And you start reshaping your beliefs and having new visions and new desires and new possibilities become available to you because everything that you want starts on the inside with your thoughts, with your beliefs, with your energy, with the words you speak. And so I think that this is a beautiful gift that we, one, give to ourselves and many of us became coaches because we had an internal shift where new possibilities became available, where a shift in our perception created a miracle for us, right?
Where we felt more peace of mind. We felt more power in our lives. We felt more choice available that was not previously available. And we wanted to share that gift with people. And business is no different, right? Maybe you had a breakthrough in your relationship, or your self concept, or self esteem, or your mental health because of coaching.
And that's what we can deliver to our clients and whatever they want is the same process, right? It's an inside out approach. As within, so without. So whatever your clients are experiencing on the outside, it's because of the beliefs that they have on the inside. It's because of what they expect or assume is going to happen to them.
And their brain has been running on default, their mind has just believed things up to this point and they can choose to create again. Neil Donald Walsh calls this recreating. And I love that idea that we can recreate ourselves in our lives based on what we have going on on the inside. And so your business is the same.
The conscious coach knows their business is a direct relationship to what they think about, what they believe, what they expect to happen, the beliefs that they've grown and nurtured over time and acted on, their willingness to see things differently, to expand their awareness into new possibilities. That's the conscious coach way.
The next thing that I'm going to say is, it's just on a personal level, that you get to create your business in a way that keeps your values and priorities straight, while you succeed. When I was getting my branding done with Rebecca Peterson, who shout out to Rebecca is amazing, and you should check her out if you want branding done. She's amazing.
One of the things that we talked about when she was doing my branding is this concept that she called Prosperity in Integrity. And that really resonated for me because I don't think you have to trade your ethics or your values to get what you want. And that was really important to me because in the beginning I was afraid of raising my prices. I was afraid of doing things bigger because I didn't want to put anyone out. I didn't want to hurt anyone. And what I've learned is that there's a way to create your business where you can get what you want and keep your values and your priorities, right?
I work two or three days a week, most weeks, because being a mom is really important to me. Family time is really important to me. Doing service and having the best intentions for my clients is really important to me. And I've learned that you can create a business without being slimy or sleazy. It's funny because I think deep down when you see people having these huge months, and if you think they're sleazy and slimy, you will never achieve a big month in your business with that belief because you don't want to be that kind of person and you don't have those kinds of values, right? You don't want to be sleazy or slimy. And so one of the things that I've cleaned up in my own mind is my beliefs about having big months in my business or making a lot of money and being a great person and keeping my values in check and being the kind of person that I want to be in the world.
And that is available to you too. And I think if you imagine success costing you your values, you will never create the success that you want, because your values are more important. For most people, your values and your priorities take precedence over any business success that you want. What I've learned to do is that I can have both and you can too.
And I think the conscious coach knows this in their soul. Like this is not just a concept that you listen to on a podcast, this is the way that you actually live. I choose to believe that my success impacts the world for the better. I choose to believe that the more money I make, the better I can impact other people.
And the more I can deliver value in other ways. It unlocks new avenues for me of supporting other people. I don't believe I have to sacrifice my integrity to be successful or to make more money. I don't believe that it takes me away from my family in bad ways. It has a negative impact on my life.
I choose to believe that my business success makes my whole family life and my values better and more amplified. And that was really useful to me as I started making more money than I could have imagined and having more success than my little self could have imagined. It was like, this is good for the world. What I want is good for the world and now I have a lot of evidence that that's true.
The final thing that I'll share about being a conscious coach is that, you know you are the creator. The creator of your life and business. You create everything. Everything that you have right now is because you created it, whether consciously or not. For me, a lot of my struggles before I found this work is that I was creating kind of unconsciously. And that's why I call this the conscious coach, right? Like, you increase your awareness. You start to do things on purpose with strong intentions and clarity about what you want and what you don't want.
What you want to create and what you don't want to create. And you live that way and you choose to think that way. You clean up your thinking. Tou clean up your actions so that everything is in alignment with what you want because you know that you are constantly creating. You can't not create. The question is whether you want to do it on purpose or not.
And the whole purpose of this podcast is to help you do it intentionally and on purpose. For your, you know, the way that you treat clients, the money that you make, the way your business operates, the kinds of clients that you work with, the kind of hours you work in alignment with your values with your family. Everything is impacted by your desires. And making that conscious and lining up your thoughts, beliefs, energy, words, and actions with what you want. To me, what it means to be a conscious coach is everything I do in my life and business reflects that. That I am a powerful creator, and so are you.
And so to me, this is what it means to be a conscious coach. And with that, I have a very, very exciting announcement.
