281. The Old Paradigm of the Coaching Industry is Dying... and What We Are Building Instead
In this episode, I'm getting real about something I've been feeling for a long time: the old paradigm of the coaching industry is dying, and honestly, it needs to. I talk about why hierarchy, pay-to-play, status, and secret knowledge are no longer working ā and what's emerging in their place. I share what I'm building instead: a model rooted in reciprocity, mutual care, co-creation, and walking alongside my clients as equals rather than positioning myself above them. I also get into the words we use ā coaching, mentorship, guiding, witnessing ā and why I'm officially renaming my coaching practice to a "one-on-one practice" because that language finally feels like integrity to me.
I share personal stories from my own burnout in the helping profession, my journey through past coaching investments that didn't resonate, and the clarity I found after a dark Reddit rabbit hole that almost made me question everything.
