Welcome back to the podcast. Oh my goodness. It has been a while since I've done a solo episode. As you guys know, I've had a series of conversations that I had so much fun creating with clients, with acquaintances, with new friends, with old friends. It was really fun to just interview and to have conversations. I think that comes pretty easily to me as a coach, you know, as someone who literally like that's my profession is talking to people.
It's easy for me to do interviews for the podcast, which to be really honest, felt like a nice mental break. Obviously I was still recording, but it just felt different because I could respond to questions. I could respond to the conversation. I really enjoyed it. I hope you did too. I hope you enjoyed getting to meet all the awesome people that I had on the podcast.
And today I'm back with a solo episode. So welcome. I want to talk about miracle mindedness and I want to give you a quick update of what I've been up to and things because it's been a while since we've talked, you know, and a lot has happened. So I had to look it up for the like, when was the last time that I did a solo episode? It was September 19th. I'm recording it and it's now November.
And so it's been over a month and it was a nice break just to have conversations. So I wanted to give you an update on some of the things that I've been up to. So the first one, the biggest one probably as far as business goes, is that I had my miracle mind retreat. So I recently changed the name of my mastermind to the miracle mind. And I actually made a post about this on Instagram, but I'll share a little here too.
So a few years ago, I actually had a mastermind called the miracle mind. My mastermind through the years has been called a few different things. It's been called the inner circle. It's been the quiet wealth cohort. It's been the abundance mastermind. Actually, that's what I started this year, calling it called it the abundance mastermind. And a few months ago, I just started to feel this stirring that something was going to change. And so I waited and I listened.
I waited for like the divine download to drop in and I heard the words like, I will show you the name. And so I was like, okay, very excited. Show me the name. And I was almost like anxious about it. And I waited for a few days and a few weeks and I was like, okay, so what is this? Right. And then I heard I've already shown you the name. And when I heard that, I immediately knew it's the miracle mind.
It's the same name I used a few years ago, but it feels more resonant now than it ever has. And so, yeah, it's the miracle mind. And I had all my clients from the miracle mind gather in person with a few bonus amazing clients who got to come to. We got it together Thursday night and stayed till Sunday morning. Right. So we had all of Friday and all of Saturday together and we brainstormed and we coached and I taught some things we discussed mostly.
One of the coolest parts about a mastermind is it's not the Amber Show. It's a group of amazing, gifted, incredible people all sharing their wisdom with each other. And I was pretty amazed at what came through for many of the clients. It was something that I said. It was something that someone else said in the room. And so I just think that was really cool from a mastermind perspective.
And the theme was abundance through the lens of being miracle minded, which is why I'm calling this episode Miracle Minded, partially to introduce the mastermind, but also, you know, to give you an update because miracles have been on my mind. And so I had my mastermind read the book, The Law of Divine Compensation by Marian Williamson. And so we discussed what it means to be miracle minded in the form of business.
And what's funny is, like, even though everyone in that room has a business, a lot of our coaching, to be honest, was not business related strictly. We talked about our money beliefs. We talked about parents. We talked about children. We talked about being mothers. We talked about faith and what it really means. We talked about speaking things into existence. We talked about self-sabotage. I mean, just so much personal stuff.
Because the reality of business, especially if you are like me and you know, you have a business, but you care about a lot of things. You don't just want to be excellent at business. You want to be an excellent mom. You want to be an excellent wife. You want to be an excellent partner. You want to be an excellent friend. You want to fulfill your God-given potential.
You want to make a difference in your community, in your virtual community, in business, but also like your physical community, like your neighborhood. You care about a lot of things. And that came through so clearly. And it's why I love my clients so dearly, is because they are up to stuff, not just in business, but in their life. And so it's a great opportunity to kind of work through a lot of that together.
So what I loved about the weekend was, one, like I said, everyone in the room was sharing their gifts with each other, which I just felt so abundant to me. And we got to go really deep on concepts like faith, creating things, belief work, shining your light, and what that really, really means about taking up space, about what our deepest fears are, and moving through them. We talked a lot about the concept of like being miracle-minded means letting love work through us, like conduits.
The other exercise that we did that I've done before, but I try to do it every year, is creating an I Am document. And if you're listening to this podcast and you've been with me for a while, like you know we've either done that work before many times, or at least once, right? And if you've never done that work before, you should shoot me a message on Instagram and I will point you in some directions, or we can kind of talk about it.
But an I Am document is a powerful resource, and it's a living document that helps you create yourself. God made us in his image. God is a creator. So we are creators. And I think sometimes we forget that the first real thing that we are always creating is ourselves. So the way that we speak about ourselves becomes created. So when we say the I Am, that's a creative word.
And so I had all my clients, even if they've done the document before, we all got to read documents together. They got to share with each other what they're creating themselves to be, both in business and in life, in their marriage, in their financial prosperity, in their motherhood, and all of it. It was really cool to witness some of the things, the wording, the articulations that came through from that process. And now they have it, right?
So like I said, it's a living document. So hopefully, if you're listening to this, like you're reading your document, because it's powerful. Words are powerful. That's one of the reasons that I love coaching, because different words have different meanings. And words are symbols, but words symbolize creation. And so when we use words on purpose, we're creating.
And so that's one of my favorite things to do with clients is help them find words, both to express themselves and to create themselves. And so that was a really powerful moment for me. Many of my clients let go of thoughts, stories, burdens, heavy things. They let them go. I think it was really powerful to see the shift. A Course in Miracles says, a miracle is a shift in perception. And we kept talking about that at the retreat. What does that mean? How do you apply it?
And I saw these women have shifts in perceptions that made them more loving, more free, more light, more abundant, more prosperous, more willing to do work, like have the work through them to serve other people because of their willingness to shift their perception of their husbands, of their clients, of their communities, of money, of their gifts. And I know the ripple effect of that weekend is going to keep rippling for a long time. And I'm excited about it.
And it was wonderful. And it was miraculous. One of the things that I had been contemplating, you know, before that weekend was this name change for the Mastermind. And so I told the ladies like it's called the Miracle Mind. Not that that really matters, but it represents something to me because to me, Miracle Mind has two purposes.
The first one is that you have a miracle mind designed to know God, designed to create, designed to bless others, designed to see possibilities, designed to love, designed to forgive. And when we forget that we have a miracle mind, sometimes our mind can be almost like weaponized against ourselves.
But when you're miracle minded, it's almost like your mind becomes a conduit for divine ideas to flow through so that you can be a blessing, so that you can create opportunities for other people, so that you can serve your community and your audience and your family in a way that makes everyone more prosperous. One of the things that I say in my document is I am a portal for prosperity that comes from miracle mindedness.
And so I'm really excited for this, I guess, new era of my Mastermind, but also just my community, because it's not even if you're not in the Mastermind, like you can be miracle minded. The second purpose of naming my Mastermind Miracle Mind is that we are a miracle mind together. And I saw that so obviously in the room when everyone was contributing to each other and giving and receiving from each other.
It really felt like a new mind was born, the miracle mind, the mind that we all share, the mind that is greater than the sum of its parts. And so that's why I named it the Miracle Mind. And I love it. So that was my recap of the retreat. Obviously, I mean, I took what, 12 minutes to share about the Mastermind retreat, or I guess the Miracle Mind retreat. And this is more of like a personal update.
But when I drove home, even like the night before we left, I was like, this is what I'm meant to be doing. I've spent a lot of time pondering how to grow my business. And I will always be a teacher. And I will always be a coach. And I will always want to share what I'm learning with you all. And I'll always be a podcaster, I'll always be like a content creator, I'll always be a messenger, I guess, or a teacher.
But one of the things that became very clear is like, I'm meant to do high touch, high value experiences with people. And so sometimes when I look at the scope and the scale of the internet, and I see these business models that were like, hyper scaled, you know, and I love these people. Like the first one that comes to mind is like Tony Robbins, right?
He was like one of the first life coaches that I read their book and had a transformation of my own. When I started growing my business, it kind of was like, oh, like, that's the end goal. The end goal of being a coach is like massive scale. And I never challenged that belief, I just thought that was true, like that that's what I was supposed to work toward. And it wasn't until I read the book, The Prosperous Coach by Rich Litvin that I had a belief break on that, right?
Where I was like, oh, there's a lot of ways to be a coach. And it's funny, like, I felt like I've been straddling this line between like the Tony Robbins model and like the Rich Litvin model of my whole business career. And it wasn't until I started working with my coach, Amber Liljestrom, that she gave me the words, the right size business. And that immediately landed for me. And I've been pondering and working with her on what that means for me.
But the Miracle Mind Retreat was like an inflection point for me. Like, this is the work that I meant to be doing. In the trenches with people about their life, and their faith, and their identity, and their financial situations, and their family life, and what they believe about themselves, and what they believe about God working through them, and God's provision, and all these things that came up at the retreat. I know that's the work meant to be doing.
And it wasn't just like a lecture hall. It was facilitating. It was creating together, like I said, life and business. And so driving away from the retreat, I was like, this is it. Doesn't mean that I won't do group programs or teachings because I identify as like a spiritual teacher. I've got something that feels true to me. But something landed. And I want to share that with you because I want you to have the same grounded feeling about your business that I have right now.
That like, this is the work that I meant to be doing. And it doesn't mean that my business won't keep growing or scaling. But it just, I'm not in a rush to create a massive scale of business. I might not ever do massively scaled work. And maybe I will. But I know my main work is up close and personal with individuals who I know their story. I know their families. I know their thinking. I know their history. I know their visions.
I know where they're struggling, life and business. I know them intimately. And that matters to me. And so one-on-one work or the mastermind, that's where I think my zone of genius is. The other offers that I do like teaching, you know, bigger groups or masterclasses or even this podcast, they all support that and they all serve a purpose. It's not that I don't like them. It's just I have an offer that feels resonant to my soul. And all my clients want that.
They want offers that feel amazing and are profitable. I know that that's possible for you. And I've been in business since 2018, so it didn't happen overnight. But it's been a constant, almost like an upgrade, an up-leveling of my identity, of finding what's most aligned for me and the work that I think God knows I'm most aligned with.
What kind of love and miracles can work through me when I'm open to it? Not because of me, but because how I was created. It's felt like a relief. It feels exciting. I'm all in on Instagram. I was showing everyone. I got all this swag because I was like, I'm all in on the miracle mind. And so I ordered sweatshirts and a shirt and a journal. And so now when people join the miracle mind, they'll get a sweatshirt and all this stuff.
And it was just like a physical representation of how I felt, right? Like this is the offer of my soul. That sounds dramatic, but it's true. It's how I feel. And so I walked away from the miracle mind knowing like that's the work that I think I'm good at. It's the work that I think my clients resonate with the most, where it's not being talked at. It's not me lecturing to my clients. It's co-creation.
Truly that offer is the spirit of co-creation made manifest. And I felt that in the room. So that is my little update and recap of the miracle mind retreat. Some other personal updates that have been really fun. Wesley got a promotion in his career. So he's a safety director for a general contractor. So he travels a few times a month to his different work sites.
But what also became available is that he gets to work from home when he's not traveling. So it's been so fun. We go on lunch dates, we go on walks, like he's working in his office, I'm working in mine. And it's just like, I don't know, it feels like a little God wink because where we started, I remember staying up to midnight at my kitchen table, I didn't have an office, figuring out a WordPress blog.
I still remember uploading the template and getting really frustrated that I couldn't make it look the way that I wanted it to and all this stuff. And I remember Wesley coming down because he had gone to bed and woke up, came downstairs to check on me. And I remember the financial pressure that we felt at the time. And he was working long hours. I didn't see him that much.
I was working long hours because I would work after the kids went to bed. There was like all this pressure, but I had a vision of what could be. I saw something in my mind's eye, in my imagination, which is God's tool for us to create. I saw something in my imagination that could be for me and my family. Are there still things that I want to create? Absolutely. But the other day, me and Wesley went to Jersey Mike's for lunch.
And like, I'm looking at him and I'm just like, this is what I imagined. Our kids are all in school, we're on a lunch date. We're thriving. Things are going amazing. And it's uncomfortable to say that, but things are going amazing. And the seed was planted many years ago. And so I didn't have the words back then in 2018, but I have the words now. In 2018, I was miracle minded. I believed something that could be transformed. I believed in something better.
I believed that the fruit of the seeds that I planted would be a harvest that I wanted in my life and in my marriage and in my motherhood and my finances and my business life. By no means am I settled on where I'm at forever. I think growth and evolution is what we're designed for, expansion, to be a creator. And so there's still things that I want to create and achieve and do in the world. And I'm actually going to share some of those things in a second.
But there's that great book called The Gap and the Gain. We have to look at the gain. And like in that moment when I was at Jersey Mike's with Wesley, it was like, dang, look how far we've come. And I was just really grateful. And so that's kind of a fun personal update that Wesley gets to work from home a lot now. And I get to see him and hang out with him while our kids are in school. That's the other update is all three of my girls are in school.
And so there's this interesting thing that I mentor and coach women of all ages and a few men, if you're listening. Hey, men, but mostly women. And across the ages. So some of my clients are empty nesters. Some of my clients are new moms. And so across the range of where they're at in motherhood, it doesn't really matter, right? Like the heart is still there. Like there's still work.
There's still time management. There's still relationships and there's still love and there's still communication and all of that stuff. But as a young mom, I started my business. And so I have always been worried about child care, managing schedules and time off and, you know, who's going to watch my kid and which was fine.
I'm so grateful for all the support that I've had through the years and the relief that I felt when I took my daughter to kindergarten and I talked about on this podcast before, like was pretty amazing because it's something that just dropped off of my mental load. And so I kind of had this idea that like when all three of my kids were in school, I would work more and fill my calendar. And I was surprised myself when I didn't do that.
So for the past few weeks since they started in August, I haven't tried to fill my calendar. And so I have experienced a lot of amazing, beautiful, restorative white space in my calendar. And that's been amazing. And I didn't rush it. I just like allowed it to be there. So I would go and walk. Sometimes I even took naps during the day. I get my hair done or I go get my nails done or I go to the gym. I'd read books and I didn't make it mean anything.
I wasn't like mad at myself or anything. I just realized like I needed a season of more spaciousness. And what's funny is, is you might be listening to this, but you did not. Because if you're watching me on social media, like it looks like I'm doing a lot. Or if you're in one of my programs, it looks like I'm doing a lot. I have one on one clients. I have mastermind clients. I have the Ambersmith Vortex clients. And then I do masterclasses.
Another thing that I've been doing that I'll talk about are these in-person workshops. So from the outside, I might be like, you did not take time off. And it's not that I took time off. It's just that I didn't fill the empty space that was created from not needing to pick up from preschool or not needing to be available because Lainey was home for the day. I have this white space because my kids are in school and I didn't fill it. And it's been really nice.
I'm feeling a little bit of a nudge to do a little bit more, maybe in 2026, but I'm not in a rush. And that feels so good to not feel pressure, to not feel like I have to hurry to the next thing. I think some of you need to hear that, that you don't have to hurry to the next thing. And the other thing that I mentioned is that I've been doing these in-person workshops, which I have loved. I've done three. My intention is to do one a month.
So we meet together in Lehi, Utah, and we workshop. So there's coaching, there's creating. Sometimes there's like worksheets or like questions that you need to answer. Sometimes it's just group discussion. But I know the power of gathering in person, and that was really evident at my retreat as well. Gathering in person is important. I love the virtual aspect of Zoom, and I love that I can be connected to everyone at any time with discernment and with boundaries.
But like I've had clients in Australia, I've had clients in the UK, I've had clients in different states. I've had clients who are traveling, who tuned in from like actually one of my clients tuned in to our mastermind call from Disneyland. It was so awesome. Like it's just cool to be able to be in touch with people virtually like that. And I think there's a lot of power in gathering in person.
And now that my kids are in school, I have the capacity for more of that. And what I love about it is I drive to Lehi from my house. I meet my clients for three hours. We workshop, we brainstorm, we mindshare, and then I go home. And it's just like a really beautiful way of connecting and creating. So if you're local and you're listening to this, keep your eyes out for one of these workshops. It's been so fun to meet in person and to gather in person and to coach in person.
I just think there's a lot of power in it. So that's another thing that I've been up to. The other thing that I've been up to is writing. I'm still writing my book. It's taken me a lot longer than I thought. There's that saying that's like, the work works on you. And this is one of those books. Like, I feel the work working on me to clarify my ideas, to tell the stories that I want to tell, to share concepts, to share practical and mindset-related ideas to change your life.
And so I've been enjoying writing. Not super intensely. That season will probably come. But just getting my ideas clarified. Writing Quiet Wealth, my first book, happened in a few weeks. This is different. Quiet Wealth, I think I wrote it in like three weeks. Which may or may not surprise you, depending on how well you know me, but had a burst of energy. Also a deadline with Rich Litvin and his program to get it out. With this book, this book number two, it's a different kind of book.
And so I don't feel this rush to get it out very quick. I want it to be done well. And I want to convey the ideas and messages the way that I imagine them landing for you. And so it's been a softer process for me. Like, it softened my heart a lot. A.K.A. it's been humbling. But that's also something that I've been up to. So I like hearing what's working from other people. So I wanted to share what's working for me.
Conversations, as always, especially if you're a coach, being in conversation with your people will do more for your business than writing the perfectly crafted post. And I think in the age of content and information, I think sometimes it's easy to overlook a conversation. But conversations have been the bedrock and the foundation of my business since day one. And it's why I became a coach. It's why I became a mentor.
It's why I do this work is because conversations can be transformational. Ideas and content can be transformational, too. But in my experience, as more content becomes more and more available and more and more pushed into our faces, and as our world becomes more digital, I think powerful conversations are going to be more in demand than ever. And I have found that to be true because I'm not in the business of information anymore, and neither are you.
We absolutely are. And I really want you to hear this in the business of transformation. I know that sounds cheesy or cliche, but it is true nonetheless. People don't want your information. They want to experience a transformation, which means they have to have a shift in perception.
It is hard to have a shift in perception without someone looking at your thoughts for you. This is why coaching is so valuable.
And this is why ChatGPT can never replace a coach, because ChatGPT is like a yes-man. It just like affirms your ideas. A coach can see a blind spot and challenge your thinking in real time in a conversation. And so if it's been a while since you prioritized conversations in your business, like let this be a wake-up call, have more conversations, put yourself in rooms, DM the people, invite conversations on your podcast, in real life, on Zoom, on walks.
Because if you are a facilitator of transformation, conversations is the tool. And so that has absolutely been working for me. I've had clients come into my world, come back into my world after working with me many years ago, recently, because of conversations. And so prioritize them in whatever way you feel aligned with. The next thing that's been working for me is spacious creative time.
So like I mentioned, I have a lot of spacious creative time these days, which has been amazing. And you will see my thinking play out in the next few months and even years because of this time that I've taken to like think deeply, pray deeply, meditate deeply on these ideas. And then the things that I'm going to create from this time period are going to be stuff that like I think is going to be transformational for my business.
But that wouldn't have happened if I didn't create the space. And so I know it is not always easy to create space depending on what phase of life you're in and depending on what kind of season you're in right now. But if you can take the time to have creative space in your calendar, your clarity of thought will astound you. The divine downloads that you make room for will astound you. The next steps that become very clear will astound you.
But you have to give yourself space to receive them. So put it in your calendar, even if it's like, hey, I'm taking a 30 minute walk alone with no podcast and I'm just going to listen and I'm going to receive and create space so I can hear things. I think it'll be useful for you. I know it's been useful for me. Other things that are working. One of the things that I've noticed in my business is, as you know, I don't have a scaled business, but I do deep work with a handful of people.
And that has been an amazing opportunity for me, an amazing financial business model. It has been an amazing, even just from a fulfillment standpoint, to be able to walk with my clients for long seasons. Some of my clients have been working with me for like four going on five years. I don't take that lightly. I think it's very useful. I'm like this. I like to work with my coaches for a long time because of the context that gets created when you work with a coach.
They already know you. They've walked with you. They understand your patterns and can call you on it. If it's not working, obviously you don't have to stay. But I've noticed it working for myself and for my clients. And so it's been really cool to have these deep relationships, not just like a number in my business. I really know my clients. I really know them. And I think that serves me. It serves them. It serves our relationship.
And I think that's something that we could look at as more information comes, as AI comes, just as a useful way of serving your clients is like the intimacy and the knowing them, the relationships that's formed when you have the time and capacity to serve them at a deep level. They want to stay. And I used to think it was like, I remember seeing different programs and it was like kind of clients would come in and then they get a new wave of clients and they get a new wave of clients.
It's not a bad business model at all. I think some niches, some programs, especially teaching programs where you're teaching information, that makes sense, right? Once you teach information, if they already know it, they don't need more of it. But how I look at coaching is like we are walking together on the path of transformation and creation. They are transforming and creating their lives based on the vision that they have.
And so if I can be of service to them on that walk together, it makes sense that we will keep walking together until it no longer makes sense. Because it's not about me being the teacher where I know everything. I think I might be further ahead on the path than my clients in some ways. But again, in the spirit of co-creation, it's what we do together that makes the miracle. It's not the knowledge that I have. It's what I draw out of my clients. It's what we discuss together.
It's the shift in perception they have in the coaching or in the conversation that changes everything. And so you can take that and run with it in your own business. How can you create more spacious creative time for yourself? How can you have more conversations with your people? How can you create deeper intimacy and opportunities to serve at a deeper level with your people that are already in your audience?
Which is something, if you're listening to this on Monday, this comes out on Friday. On Monday, November 10th, I'm starting a Voxer event called Miracle-Minded Marketing. Everything that I just said, we're gonna do in real time. So if that last part resonated, consider joining the Voxer event. It's 55 bucks. It'll change how you see marketing forever. It'll change how you see your people forever. It'll change how you make money forever.
So I hope to see you in there. That is what I had today. Just a recap of what I've been up to, a conversation about Miracle-Mindedness, which more will come from that. Thank you for being here. Thank you for listening to this podcast. Thank you for sharing this podcast. Thank you for the feedback. Thank you for your time and attention. I do not take it lightly. So thank you for listening. I'll see you next week.
