Hey you guys, welcome back to the podcast. I am really excited for today because I'm talking about a concept that I've talked a lot about on Instagram, I realized, and just like with my clients, but I never really made a specific podcast for it. And it's the mentality of I'm here until this works. And I think part of it is I have a hard time talking about it because it's just something that I just adopted early on. I just never really gave myself an out to quit, but I've been in this game for like four and a half years now.
And I've just noticed that some of the people that kind of started at the same time as me have disappeared and they kind of quit and that looked different. You know, maybe they transitioned into something else, but they stopped doing what, what I do, which is coaching and growing an online business. And I think one of the things that really served me is I just didn't give myself another, like another alternative choice. Like I just was like, I'm going to do this until it works.
And that's an, that's like a mentality and a thought that you can adopt. And I think it will deeply, deeply serve you. And I really started thinking about this. Like, this is what separates the people who quote make it and the people who fizzle out, right? Like I'm thinking of like the big people like Walt Disney, Jeff Bezos, right. Um, Howard Schultz, like the owner of Starbucks or the founder of Starbucks. Um, people like Elon Musk, like these huge names, the thing that separates them is like, they just kept going. Right.
Walt Disney, I think he went to like 300 banks. Okay. Like massive amount of failure. And he just kept going until it works. And now his name will like is legendary, right? Like will last generations, hundreds of years of his name and his legacy. And even if you don't want to be that big, like I don't necessarily want to be Walt Disney. Right. But I have a vision of something that I'm trying to create. And I've, I've taken massive steps and it's interesting.
Like when you, when you're kind of like a high achiever, it's like even the things that I've created, I used to dream about like what I'm doing today, but now I just have bigger dreams, right? Like as you achieve things, you just dream bigger and bigger. And that's the fun part, right? The fun part isn't getting there or getting to the destination. The fun part is getting to the destination and then inventing a new one and then going and making progress towards that new one. And then getting to that destination and then dreaming big.
And if that sounds like a hamster wheel, like, I don't know, I, I don't see it as a hamster wheel. I see it as life, right? I see it as a journey of self-discovery and growth and self-actualization. And so for me, that mentality of being here until it works is essential because I think that it's so tempting to quit sometimes, unless you have the mentality of until it works, right? And because here's the deal, everything is harder than you anticipated it's going to be. That's something that I've just grown to expect. Um, and that's kind of the unsexy truth, right? We want it to be easy.
And I think what's available. And if you've studied my work, you know, I really am a huge proponent of masculine and feminine energy and utilizing both in business because when it's hard, it can be tempting to think something's going wrong. Or like when you get a result that you don't want, it can be easy to think something is like, this is an error, right? I should have had a full, fully booked, you know, coaching practice or my launch should have gone better. And what I want to offer is like, no, it shouldn't have, I know that sounds harsh, but like I had so many failed launches and I learned something from each and every one of them.
And I never thought it should be different. I always thought, okay, I'm getting data. I'm getting information to figure out how to make this work because I had the underlying belief that I wasn't going to quit. I was just going to keep trying. And I think it can feel kind of almost humiliating when you're like, will it, you're just like willing to keep going. It's almost like a lack of pride, right? And this is something that's interesting is when I've gotten stuck in my business, it's because of my own pride, right?
I always, maybe it was, I thought I should have been further ahead or I felt entitled to a result or entitled to clients telling me yes on a consultation or felt entitled to a better launch than I was. And that never served me. Right. And so actually my growth and progress has come so much because I'm willing to swallow my pride and I'm willing to quote, look foolish publicly as I'm learning, as I'm exploring, as I'm trying. And some people just aren't willing to do that. And you might be one of them. And even though this episode, I hope it serves you.
This really is for me to reflect on how I've gotten to where I am. The last few weeks have been insane in my business. I signed four new clients. I enrolled people into the miracle mind. I had people join the matrix and it's been amazing and kind of busy. Like it's awesome. It's a great problem to have. Um, but when I was thinking of like, how did this happen? Like it was so many results, so much awesomeness all at once. I was kind of like, okay, like, interesting. Some people would kill for what I'm experiencing right now. Why did I create this?
Like, how did this happen? And I really attribute it to my belief that like, I'm here until this works because I would have given anything. Like when I was a new coach, I was like, I would like daydream about making a hundred K right now. Like that's, that's so, um, not in my past, but it's just obvious that it's not something I think about, right. I'm thinking about seven figures now and working my way to a seven figure business. And so it's just interesting that the mentality is still there that I'm here until this works, because I think it's easy to have results that you don't want, especially in the beginning that feel difficult or embarrassing or frustrating, um, or humiliating or like ridiculous or whatever you're experiencing.
And I think, man, it can be so easy to think it's like almost like glamorous to think about quitting where you have free time and you don't have to stress and you don't have to push yourself and you don't have to challenge your thoughts or your identity and you can just disappear. And actually this shows up interestingly enough in a very unique way. Sometimes my clients will be like, you know, I think I'm just going to get off social media. I think I'm just going to build my business off social media, but I think that it matters how you make that decision, right?
Because some people will make that decision out of fear or frustration of being public. And they will like the idea of a private business because it's easier, but that's different than like choosing to be private or run your business off Instagram, because that makes sense for you. Right. And I think it's a hard, it's hard. I'm not saying that this is like a cut and dry rule, but I think really looking at your thoughts about why you do things, because it could be easy to quote pivot or quit and justify it with a lot of reasons.
But really what you're doing is abandoning the dream and the vision that you have. And this is some harsh, harsh truth, especially if you're, if you've been considering quitting or, um, like looking to pivot out or maybe not want results so bad anymore. Right. And, um, what's interesting is those don't go away. It just kind of like you like almost numb it until you choose something else. And I think for me, I want my clients to be really honest about what they want, because my personal belief is that what you want is good for the world.
And when I think about people like Bezos or Disney, some of the people that I talked about in the beginning, like their vision, their, the bigness of their dreams were so important for the world. Think about how many people they employ. Think about how many memories are made. Think about how convenient they've created life to be. Right. When you think about Amazon, um, like I'm so grateful to like Walt Disney that he kept going. Right. Like I get to go there with my family. Actually me and my family are going there in a few weeks and I'm super excited.
My sister worked for Disney, the Walt Disney company. I'm grateful that Walt Disney started his vision, right? Because it employs people. Um, like people work for Amazon, people work for Starbucks, these massive companies, like good thing their founder had a huge vision and kept going because it allowed other people's dreams to exist within their dream. And then I think about, you know, my business and coaches, it's like, there will be people that you will impact who will never rise to their fullest potential, unless you showed up because you were a key part of their story. Right.
I think about all the mentors that I've learned from all the people that have impacted me on my journey. I'm like, so grateful for them because they, they helped me rise to my full potential and they continue to do so. And so when we think about what we want, it can be easy to twist it into being selfish. But I think when you tap into the bigger side of the vision where there's like a reason that you have this vision on your heart and on your mind that like these little ideas or images come to you, it's because that's like the roadmap, right? Like that's the path.
And you can deny that, or you can lean in and leaning in is one of the most brave things I think people can do because leaning in means you choose to fail. Leaning in means you take on risk, right? Risk of being rejected, risk of it not working, risk of losing money, risk of people making fun of you and getting haters or naysayers. Right. And those are the people that change the world. And that's why I love working with entrepreneurs. It's because it's uncomfy, right? It is not comfortable to do what we do. It's not comfortable to change, right? Change is painful.
Actually in the matrix, I was just coaching and teaching about status and how a lot of the reason that people don't buy from us is because of the perceived decrease in status, right? They're afraid if they're going to waste their money. They're afraid of what their friends are going to think if they hire a life coach, right? And that kills the dream. It kills their action. And so part of our work is to learn how to build up our clients and build up the people that we want to serve so that they can see the power of this decision and trust themselves to make it and follow through.
Because that's the way we make a better life and a better world for us and our children and generations to come. I really, really believe this. In fact, one of my mentors who I introduced you to a few weeks ago, his name is Russell Brunson. He talks about like, he believes entrepreneurs will change the world. And I agree. Because what we do as entrepreneurs is we see a problem and we choose to dedicate our time, our energy, our resources to solving that problem for them. And I think that's a beautiful way to exchange value, right?
Like we add value to the marketplace and then we get paid for it and the world gets better as a result. Like that's a cool business. And I think for me that until it works is the only way to get to where you want to go. Because if you try to see if it's going to work, right? You're going to, when the first failure, you're like, I'm out, right? Versus almost expecting failure, not because that's useful, but it, I think it helps you kind of ease the pain of failure. You're like, oh yeah, like I really didn't expect to get it the first time. So I'm going to keep trying it. Right.
Or I made this huge, huge decision and it feels awful and that's to be expected. Or maybe a personal stuff comes up, right? Like I have tons of clients that like a lot of our coaching is mostly personal coaching. It's not necessarily business coaching because personal life gets in the way of business. And so that happens too. And I think one of the things that has been transformational for me is that like, even if I take a few days off or a few weeks off, I've always given myself permission to come back because I'm here until it works. Taking breaks wasn't the same, same thing as quitting. And now it's like, I love work so much.
I can't imagine disappearing for more than a week because I love this. This is like a mission. This is bigger than just my job. And I think a lot of you are going to relate to that. This is way bigger than just like getting a paycheck or getting someone to pay you. This is about your impact. This is about the meaning of your life. And this is kind of harsh, but one of the, one of my mentors, Grant Cardone, um, or maybe it was Alex Ramos. I can't remember, but basically he was asking a question of like, why don't you kill yourself?
And that's a really intense question, but it's like, not on the suicide side, side, side of things. Sorry. I started over my words, but not on that side, but mostly like what gets you up in the morning? Like what get, what drives you to do anything? Like, what's the vision? What are you trying to do? And a lot of us, you know, I think about driving a car. Like we're so focused on, you know, looking at the steering wheel and trying to figure out exactly what needs to happen right now. But we forgot to like, look ahead on the road or look at a map and say, where am I trying to go?
And if you don't have that, the mentality of here until it works, won't even resonate because you're just trying to survive instead of create. And so part of what I do as a coach, and hopefully you guys feel this in this podcast too, is like, I don't want you to just survive. I want you to be a creator. When you're in survival mode, you're not thinking about creation, right? If you're trying to, you know, figure out how you're going to put food on the table, there's no way you're going to think about your legacy or your mission in the world. Right? And so I do think it's important to get your financial house in order.
I think it's important to get your business in order because once things are working, you can dream again. You can think big again. You can imagine a better life for you and your family. You can imagine impact that blows your mind. And until you get there, the mentality of here until it works just doesn't quite rise to the surface. And so I think it's good to be a dreamer. I think it's good to fuel the vision with imagery and specific detail that maybe other people doubt. And I think that's part of our work too, is being so sold on the dream that even when people doubt, it doesn't affect you because you're here until it works.
And I think, I hope this podcast is something that one inspires. Of course I want to inspire you, but also just like, I don't know, give like a realistic view of like what it might take. And part of my story, I mean, I was sharing this with my friend, my friend visited me the other day and we were childhood best friends and it was so good to see her. And one of the things that I was sharing was like when things were scary in my personal life. And I never realized how things, how scary things really were for me and my family. But we moved to Vegas. My husband quit his job.
I dropped out of my graduate school. He started going to graduate school. He didn't have a job and we had a baby and we burned through our savings. I remember we had to put rent on a credit card one month. And that's when we were like, Hmm, holy crap. Wesley needs to get a job. And it's so interesting. Cause like, I look back on that. I was like, dang, we were dumb, but also we were kind of bold. Like, I guess we just thought we would figure it out. And that's when I found I had to start working at home and I started finding ways to make money at home.
And that ended up leading me to finding life coaching and podcasts and personal development and this whole world. And so, yes, it was scary, but we got through it and introduced me to, to a way of thinking and an industry that has blessed my life, had has made me better, more fulfilled. Um, and so sometimes we have to go through really, really hard things to become the person we're supposed to be. Some of you are listening to this and you're going through something personally or in your business that feels impossible.
And what I want to encourage you is that if you don't give up, if you keep coming back to the belief that you're here until it works, you will create miracles. You will absolutely create miracles where you are mind blown about how it's possible. You are mind blown that it even came together the way it came together, or the kinds of conversations that you had. Sometimes I have conversations with my clients and I'm a good thing. I had to go through that hard thing, you know, three years ago, because now I can lead them powerfully through this.
And so there's never, it's never an accident that we go through the things that we go through. I think the mistake would be quitting when it gets hard. The mistake is thinking that you should quit, that things are happening because you're not cut out for it. Things are not working because you suck, right? That's false. Things aren't working because you're meant to learn lessons that will qualify you to build what you want to build in the future, right? We have to learn the lessons as entrepreneurs. We don't get to a four-year degree in entrepreneurship, right? We get a four-year degree paying coaches or learning programs, failing, staying up late, listening to free YouTube channels. Like we were scrappy because that's how we get the lessons.
That's how we learn the art of entrepreneurship. And the way to get through the hard stuff is, is literally like not quitting when it gets hard. Like that's not an accident when it gets hard, nothing's gone wrong. That's just the path, right? And so instead of resenting it or resisting it, lean in and look for the lessons, look for the things that are going to refine you and call you higher and allow you to become the person that you keep thinking about. The vision that you have, the ideas you can't stop dreaming about. Um, or maybe you haven't been dreaming because you're afraid.
And I want to encourage you to dream again, because that's, what's going to carry you through the hard times. That's what carried me. Like I drove this old car for years and I put all my money back into my business. And I did late nights at my kitchen table and I did scary investments that I was worried, like I wasn't going to make it back. And I spent time watching webinars and free YouTube videos. And like, I was sometimes nervous that it was all going to be for nothing, but I trust myself that like, if I don't quit, I will figure this out. The only way I truly fail is if I stop or I die.
And that's pretty intense. And like, I don't think everyone should be an entrepreneur, but if you want it, this is, this is kind of what it takes. I think, I wish more people talked about it because then we get into the world of feminine energetics, which is like ease and flow and trust. And that's super important too. But the problem is if you only do ease and flow and trust, when things get hard, it feels like something's wrong. And I, what I just want to offer is that it's not wrong.
You're just being called into a deeper level of integration and embodiment of the work so that you can keep creating the vision. And maybe the vision is bigger than you can even imagine right now. And that's why you're going through something hard because you are being asked to deepen your belief and to develop characteristics and traits and skillsets. That's going to pave the way for the next level of success for you. So stay until it works, choose to commit and lean in when it gets hard. That is the time when you lean in. That is not the time to quit because that's where the gold mine is of lessons and certainty within yourself and your ability to dream and hold a vision.
No matter what that's it's born. It's not born in the good times, right? Those things are born in the hard times. And so lean into it, choose to be here until it works. And I promise like you will create miracles. And that is my hope. That is my belief for you. Okay. I will see you in another episode. Thank you for listening. If you have an entrepreneur friend who would benefit from this episode, please send it to them. That means the world to me. Um, thank you for being a listener and I appreciate you. I'll talk to you guys soon. Bye.
