Hey you guys, welcome back to the podcast. I'm having a great day and I hope you are too. I just wrapped up my day full of calls and I've been thinking about this podcast episode for a while. Ever since I had my lightning bolt clarity moment in the mountains. And so I'm going to talk about that today. And I actually got the feedback from Rebecca Peterson. So shout out Rebecca. She's like, you should make a podcast about how you had this clarity. And I was like, that's a great idea. So here I am.
So that you can have your own moment of lightning bolt clarity, because this is what I know. Being a business owner, being a mom, being a coach, being a consumer of information. The products that I buy. Courses, books, programs, podcasts. Everything that I'm consuming puts information into my brain. And so I have so many ideas all the time. Ideas for me, ideas for my clients, ideas for my kids, ideas for a future house that I want to buy, ideas for future programs I want to run, future retreats that I want to host.
All these ideas are always bouncing around my head. And specifically recently, I've been feeling this pivot coming, and I've hinted at it in my Instagram. I've been praying about it. I've been contemplating. I've been writing. I've been searching my soul to make this pivot. And I'm going to say this with a caveat, like with an asterisk. The right way. And what I mean by the right way is like the aligned way. I want to pivot into something that's more powerful.
In fact, I had a podcast probably years ago now that I called Pivot into Power. And I've made pivots before. I've made lots of pivots in my business. But specifically in this season, it's felt like a lot because as a manifesting generator, I have a ton of ideas. And so the past, let's say, six months or so, I've had a lot going on, right? I launched a book called Quiet Wealth that you can now get on Amazon and the Kindle version is available. Hallelujah. I started a mastermind. That mastermind led to actually two cohorts and a membership.
And I launched a group program called The Art of Impossible. Meanwhile, I have my group coaching program called The Matrix. I have my one-on-one clients. I hosted a retreat in Park City. I've done a lot. I've had a very full, beautiful business season. That being said, I've also had this pull in my heart to simplify some things, to pivot in some things. And so stay tuned because after I share Lightning Bolt Clarity, I will give a little update. I'll make a little transition so you know I'm about to update some of my programs. That way, if you don't want to listen to what I'm selling, you can leave.
So let's dive in to Lightning Bolt Clarity because I've been thinking about this a lot. I actually really want to walk people through this process because it was such an inspiring moment in my business career. And I want to walk you through how to have your own insight this way. So like I said, I've been thinking about a lot of ideas. So Lightning Bolt Clarity, to me, is like you have a lot of ideas that haven't landed. They haven't dropped. You haven't had that moment of like angels singing in the shower. Right? Like, this is the moment I've been waiting for.
Like you haven't had that. And so your ideas feel heavy. You feel confused. You feel closed off. You feel constricted. Things feel like sludge a little bit. That's how I noticed I was feeling. It was like, I know something's coming. I just don't know what. I know I need to make some changes. I just don't have the clarity yet. So how you have Lightning Bolt Clarity, this is what I decided. I was like, okay, I know that ideas land for me very clearly. Whether you call that like a divine inspiration, holy spirit, like whatever you want to refer to it as.
It's like, that's how I experience it. It's like, this is it. It's like a knowing, right? In my body, in my soul, this is what's next. And I have that a lot. And I wasn't getting it. Right? Like, so I was journaling. I was writing my ideas. I was talking to my coaches and people on my team about how to get this clarity. All the while I was doing this journaling exercise, which was like something amazing is about to happen. And I would talk about what was coming in. And what's interesting is in this energy of being on the brink, right? I teach this to my clients.
Like there's something really magnetic about being on the brink of something. I'm on the brink of my next client. I'm on the brink of my next big idea. I'm on the brink of my highest income month. I'm on the brink of the next golden opportunity. And that's how I felt. And so I was writing about it. I was really in the zone. What's interesting is I didn't experience my confusion as something bad. I wouldn't even really use the word confusion. It was like, ooh, I just haven't received that clarity yet. And so I'm calling this podcast episode lightning bolt clarity because that's what I experienced, right?
In a moment, everything became very clear. And like I said, it doesn't always happen this way, but many of my clients resonate with this idea dropping in. So while you can't predict it, it is reliably unpredictable. And I want to talk more about that. I'm going to say that again. Lightning bolt clarity is reliably unpredictable, which means if you sit with ideas long enough, if you pray, if you meditate, if you open your mind up to inspiration, you will have it land. It will. The problem is, is we don't know how. We don't know exactly when.
And so I've been feeling this way for a while. And I noticed on my calendar that I had like a four hour block of time where I didn't need to be anywhere. I didn't have any calls on my calendar. My girls were in school. And I was like, how can I use that time? And I just had this idea, like go to the mountains. And I was like, that sounds so weird, right? The mountains are like a 30 minute drive from where I live. And it's like cold. So the roads are closed when you get up higher because there's snow up on top of the mountains. And I just decided to go for it.
I was like, you know what? I am going to go to the mountains. Like I'm going to drive up there. I'm going to listen to music. I'm going to bring my journal. I'm going to meditate and I'm going to write and I'm going to pray. And I am going to get clarity because I was tired of how I was feeling about all these ideas without any clear decision or clear path forward. And so I made the intention. This is like key number one. Key number one is I made the intention for time and space for the ideas to drop, right? If we don't give our ideas time and space, they won't come in.
If you're constantly plugged into podcasts, if you're constantly plugged into the news, if you're constantly plugged into social media, if you're constantly plugged into your clients, right? If you are like me and you have some way for your clients to contact you between calls, it can get very crowded in your messaging. This isn't a problem. I'm not mad about it, but I have a lot of conversations all day long with my clients. And so there wasn't a lot of time and space to listen and to receive and to be still as the scripture is like, be still and know that I am God, right? You can't access God and divine inspiration if you are constantly moving, if you are constantly filling your ears and your mind with content.
And so I knew I needed to create time and space so that I could be in the stillness. And the mountains just felt like a really good thing. The other key, key number two, is that it wasn't my house. Key number one, creating time and space. Key number two is creating that time and space somewhere not in my home office, somewhere not in my bedroom, somewhere not in my workout room, somewhere different. I had that instinct like I needed to get out of my norm. So I went to the mountains and I drove up as far as I could go and I was listening to music.
I was listening to Abraham Hicks about abundance. I was like really getting in the energy of abundance and love and oneness and wholeness. However you do that for you is important, right? So I was setting the tone for the energy of getting my answers, right? Some of you might pray, some of you might meditate, some of you might listen to spiritual music or a speech that really puts you in the zone of like receiving and openness.
Like I said, for me, I was listening to music and I was listening to Abraham Hicks, which I often do to remind me of abundance and love and seeing the world with soft eyes, with possibilities, with opportunities, with grace. And so that whole drive up, I was preparing myself to receive. Key number three is that I got there and I did not look at my phone. I stayed in the energy of reception. And so I looked at the mountains. I did take a quick video. Some of you guys probably saw that on my Instagram stories.
I took a quick video of the mountains and then I pulled out my journal and I wrote. And then I would stop writing and then I would pray. Sometimes I would just like sit in the stillness. It just kind of rotated through that. Sometimes it was, you know, me praying in my mind. Sometimes it was me writing my vision. Sometimes it was me writing what I was grateful for. I just like put myself in a receptive mode. And I did the something amazing is about to happen prompt. So something amazing is about to happen. And I would write what was about to happen.
And at the time it was like, I'm going to sign a one on one client. I'm going to have my next amazing opportunity for impact. I'm going to be invited somewhere cool. Those are kinds of the things that I was writing, which is funny because I didn't really have anything to do with the revelation that I got. But that's okay. The idea was like I was on the brink of what was next. And that's a very contagious energy. It feels very magnetic. There's high energy.
It's like stuff that I want to do. And so that's where I was vibrating and I was just parked. I even got outside a couple of times just like look at the mountains and just like take it all in. Right. The air was really crisp. I found a beautiful view. I sat in the sunshine. I closed my eyes and let the warm sun on my skin like I've got very, very present. And then I would get back in the car and I would write and I would sit there and I would pray. And I was waiting for the answer to drop.
And it didn't. And this is going to happen to you, too. Right. Like when I wanted it to drop, it won't. Right. The same rules apply at home. When I'm trying to make something happen, the revelation won't come. And so I just kept writing. And even if that's all I got, I got a lot of value out of those few hours of me writing and praying and meditating. I also like to listen to binaural beats when I meditate. You can just like look it up on whatever music player you use. I use Amazon music like binaural beats, b-i-n-a-u-r-a-l beats.
You can also just look up meditation music. But either way, it was just like music or stillness or silence so that I could tune in to my own heart, right, to my own soul, to the spirit that wants to inform me on what the highest path is. This is the work of alignment. And I do this on a day to day basis. But this was like a big block of time for me to really go into it at this point. So key number one, time and space. Key number two, away from home.
Key number three that I didn't realize was like I had to let go. And so I was a little bit of attached to my time. Like I really wanted the insight to land while I was at the parking lot looking at the mountain, right? Like that sounded right to me. As soon as I let that go, it was like, oh, like, you know what? I got what I came for anyway, right? I got peace of mind. I talked to God. I feel better in my soul. I feel more calm. My nervous system is regulated. I got out of cortisol and into serotonin. I detached my phone for a solid block of hours. I feel good, which is valuable.
And so I let go of my need for the insight to come on my timeline. And this is another huge takeaway is like letting go of your timeline is key number three, which is counterintuitive, right? Because I went to the mountains. I had this plan. But when I let go of my timeline, I felt amazing. This was so weird. As soon as I let go of needing to have the answers, I looked at the mountains and I was like overwhelmed with their beauty and majesty. They're huge, right? The snow, the sound of the wind ruffling in the trees.
I looked around at my beautiful car and I thought of my kids and my husband and I was just like overwhelmed with gratitude. Like I was crying, right? I was like in tears all alone on this mountain because I tuned in to my life force, to spirit, to my source, God. And I remembered that I am one and it was like a spiritual moment. And actually the ripple effect of this moment in the mountains, I will share a little bit later, which is I'm calling it like my spiritual awakening at Skyzone, which we'll get there.
Anyway, this moment of just peace and expansiveness and wholeness. And it was just like this beautiful moment for me just personally, just being up in the mountains. And I didn't even get any answers yet. I just made peace, like letting go opened my heart up to feeling the abundance that was already in that moment, which is another key. Being okay and grateful for what is happening right now, which is what I teach, right? But there was just this moment where I was like, I don't need to know. I really didn't.
In that moment, I did not need to know all the answers to my questions. I was being someone who had the answers and this is key. So time and space away from home, I let go of needing to know now I was being the person who already had the answer. If I already had the answers that I was trying to answer for myself, right? The questions were already done. I already figured it out. I would be at peace. I would be whole. I would be grateful. All of these things were the energetic stance that I took in that moment.
And that's actually what you get set up for, for the answers. And so I didn't get them, but I felt one. I felt peace. I get in the car and I turn on this music by Andy Grammer, Magic, which the song is something that I love. And the lyrics are amazing, but I just felt great. And I had this aha that I was like, I knew everything was going to work out. And so I'm driving down to Canyon and all of a sudden names started dropping into my mind about programs, about changes that I was going to make, about what was next, about my next book.
The path forward was literally dropped into my consciousness, right? What to change my program names to, what to add, what to take away, what to call these new ideas, what I was going to write my next book about, what to call my next book. It was clear as day. I knew it in my soul. There was no doubt. And what's crazy about this, as these are dropping, all of a sudden, two Bighorn sheep run across the road right in front of me and the music is playing and I'm like, holy crap, it happened. I had let go of it happening, but it happened.
The clarity that I had been praying for dropped into my awareness like a pebble in a pond. It was like, boom, I knew all the details. I knew the names. I knew the pricing. I knew what to do when. I knew how to drop it in. And it felt so clear and so abundant and so loving and so right, so resonant. And so I call this episode Lightning Bolt Clarity because it dropped in like lightning.
But I had done the work to prepare. The missing piece for me was like the letting go, right? So I created a time and space. I had left my home. I had been praying and preparing. I was still so that I could receive. And then the final piece, letting go of my timeline.
Then it dropped in. And so I want you to have your own Lightning Bolt Clarity moment, but you have to do the work, right? Like I had to leave my house. I had to calm my mind. I had to quiet the thought chatter. I had to seek divine help. I turned over my timeline and trusted the time being. This was another huge awareness that I had. The timeline that we operate on is not the timing of God's universe. And that was very important for me to see in real time, right? If I force things on my timeline, keyword being force, I am doing things with my own power.
I am doing things with my limited human self, my limited capacity, my limited understanding, my limited thoughts, my limited belief. When I'm trying to make something happen on my timeline, it feels hard. It feels rigid. It feels like force. When I dropped my timeline, my agenda, I opened myself to the time being of the creative force of the universe, God. And that's when all the revelation came. That's when the clarity came is when I stopped trying to make it happen according to my ideas and my mind and made myself open to receiving like the divine mind, the divine ideas, the divine inspiration that I knew I wanted.
That's why I went there. That's why I went to the mountains was so that I could get inspiration that didn't come from my own mind. I wanted that revelation. And so for you, it's like, how can you create space for your lightning bolt clarity moment, especially if things have been feeling heavy, especially if you've been wanting to make changes about your programs or pricing the way that you've been doing things up to this point may no longer serve you. Pivoting comes in our confusion, in feeling frustrated. And so we have to create the space to actually receive. And if you don't, it's like you keep replaying the same thoughts in your mind.
At least that's what was happening to me. I kept thinking things like I need to make a change. I don't know what I wonder what it will be. Should it be like this? Should I charge this? Should I call it this? Right. All this pontificating over and over. It's the brain, the ego becomes obsessed with finding out the answer. But if you believe in God or if you believe in a creative force bigger than you, right, and you want that wisdom to come into your mind, you cannot keep thinking the same thoughts. And this is why the keys are so important, right?
Keys, time and space to receive away from your home, preparing mentally and spiritually to receive and then being still and letting go is how you create the space for a lightning bolt clarity moment. And I want that for you, especially if you've been in a season where you wanted to make changes either in your calendar, in who you work with, in what you call yourself and what you call your programs and how you do business. Right. Which I feel like many people resonate at this time of year because they see 2025 coming and they're like, I want this.
I want to make some changes. Now, this is where it gets interesting, right? Like I had all these ideas. I had the clarity. Then you have to have courage to make the changes, to actually implement the ideas. And so this is where I kind of hinted like I'm at sky zone with my girls and they're jumping on the trampoline, climbing on these foam pit stuff, indoor jungle gym type situation. And I'm reading this book while they're playing by Michael Neal, and he says something that basically, oh my gosh, I really should find it. Hold on.
Okay, I found it. So this is in Michael Neal's book, Creating the Impossible. And he's quoting this story from the cherry log sermon by the Reverend Fred Craddock. Okay, so this is in his book.
He says, I said to the dog, are you still racing? No, the dog replied. Well, what was the matter? Did you get too old to race? No, I still had some race in me. Well, what then? Did you not win? I won over a million dollars from my owner. Well, what was it? Bad treatment? Oh, no, the dog said. They treated us royally when we were racing. Did you get crippled? No.
Then why? I pressed why. Dog answered. I quit. You quit? Yes, he said. I quit. Why did you quit? I just quit because after all that running and running and running, I found out that the rabbit I was chasing wasn't even real. And so Michael Neal continues. He says the future is like this too. Not only is it unpredictable, but there's actually no such thing as the future to begin with. The whole idea is made up in our own mind. Sometimes our thoughts make up a possible future that we like and we dwell on it. Other times they make up one that freaks us out and we do our best to move on.
But our scary thoughts about the future don't predict failure any more than our positive thoughts about the future guarantee success. What they do is distract us from the rich inner resources we have to respond to what's happening now. I read that little section of the book and I had a profound moment of presence. It really was like a spiritual awakening where I realized all my thoughts about the future, all my planning, all my envisioning, was just in my mind. Which it sounds funny unless you've had a moment like this where you feel one with everything around you, where all my thoughts about the future were just made up.
They serve me most of the time, but sometimes it distracts me from the present moment. And I had one of those moments where I was like, I stripped away all thoughts of the future and all thoughts of the past and was just very, very present. I was almost moved to tears looking at my girls playing, watching the kids laugh, hearing the parents joyfully call their kids to them. I just looked around in awe of this moment.
And I know it's because part of this lightning bolt clarity that I had, it opened me up to courage. And courage happens in the present moment. So all these pieces move together and I feel very aligned with where I'm going. I know for certain, not because I can guarantee the future, but I know for certain this is what I'm meant to be doing in this moment. And so I want this for you. I want you to have your lightning bolt clarity moment. I want you to eliminate the future if it's not serving you.
If the way that you're thinking about your future is hurting you, like Michael was talking about, it's only happening in your mind. The way that you experience the future is based on your thinking about the future. Is it serving you? Is it purposeful? Is it moving you into more abundance and love and generosity and abundance now? Or is it distracting you? Is it constricting you? Does it feel heavy? Because you can change the way that you think about it, or you can just stop thinking about it altogether and get present now.
And so I know that those stories seem very random, but I know that that moment in Skyzone was related to some of the insights that I had in the mountains when I had lightning bolt clarity. And so I want to offer you can have these moments too. Obviously, coaching helps. Obviously, journaling helps. Obviously, prayer and meditation helps. My caution to you is don't try to do it like I did it, but use the principles, right? Can you get away from your house for a weekend? Can you get away from your house for a couple hours? Can you go somewhere new? Can you go somewhere to receive wisdom? Wisdom that doesn't come from your own mind?
This is how we align our will with divine will. This is how we get knowledge and ideas that don't necessarily belong to us. One of the best books I've read on this that's like non-religious at all is Big Magic by Liz Gilbert. And she talks about these ideas tapping us on the shoulder. Well, where do those ideas come from? They are not from your mind. They are not of this world. They're from something else, right? They're from a spiritual realm. That's how a lot of artists feel. It's like creation wants to move through us.
And we block the flow when we try to predict and control how and when and who. And so hopefully this gives you some ideas for how you can have your own lightning bolt clarity, right? Where it's like you open yourself up to divine ideas working through you, whether that's changing your business model, whether that's changing who you work with, increasing your prices. I think a lot of people play with these ideas in their mind and it makes them sludgy, right? It makes us slow down. I feel like I'm moving with flow.
These past few weeks have been full of flow and light and alignment because I'm not weighed down by my own thinking. I feel like things are moving through me, which is a completely different experience and I want that for you. And so that is what I have for you as far as content is concerned. Go have your own lightning bolt clarity moment. If you want to stay with me, I'm going to announce some changes that are coming up because things are happening.
So the first thing I guess is that I am, my heart just started fluttering. Wow, I'm kind of nervous. I am retiring The Matrix and it makes me a little emotional because The Matrix has been a huge part of my growth as an entrepreneur. It's not disappearing entirely. It's evolving. Like we all do. And I'm really excited about what's coming, but I do have like this grief and sadness, I guess, of letting go of an amazing program that I've ran for a few years. And if you're in The Matrix, you already know the changes that are coming. If you're not in The Matrix, that's okay.
There's still ways to work with me in a group format, but it is ending and is transitioning into what I'm going to call, drumroll please, the lighthouse mentorship. And there's lots of reasons that I'm changing it, but this is one of those insights that I got when I was in the mountains was to change it to the lighthouse mentorship. The lighthouse means a lot to me personally. It's something that I've taught my clients. It's something that deeply resonates because I think in the wisdom economy, whether you're selling courses or you're coaching, whether you're doing services for someone else, whether you're selling digital products, it doesn't really matter.
The way that I teach marketing is to be a lighthouse, to stand tall, to shine your light so that the people that are looking for you can find you through content, through conversations, through referrals, through books, through podcasts, through social media. It doesn't really matter. You have to make yourself known so that people can find you. And so The Matrix is turning into the lighthouse mentorship. And there are some key changes. I'm going to have my amazing podcast editor, Allyse, put the link in the show notes for the lighthouse mentorship so that you can read about it. I'm moving it to a cohort.
So right now The Matrix people could join at any point, which is amazing and served a purpose. But I want to move into a cohort because I think there's a lot of value in a start and a finish. The thing that I am also changing is it's going to be five months long. So we will do five month cohorts from January through May, and then we'll do a second cohort in the fall, starting in late summer, so that I can take off a month in the summer with my girls in December with my girls as well, which feels very aligned to me as they're getting older. I want more time with them. And so this was one of the insights that I'm taking away.
That's probably more than you needed to know, but I wanted to share it. And the lighthouse mentorship is you can read all about it, but there will be more teaching. I'm going to teach podcasting. I'm going to teach DM mastery. I'm going to teach. Yeah, there's a lot more teaching and coaching specifically about people who want to build their business in the wisdom economy.
And so you can head to the show notes and read more and enroll, or I guess pre-enroll. We're not starting till January, but if you want to claim a spot, because I am limiting the spots so that I can know everyone in the cohort, you can head there.
The second thing that's changing is I am starting a mastermind. If you are in the Quiet Wealth cohorts, you know that this is coming. I gave everyone the heads up this week before this podcast came out, but I'm starting a mastermind called the Abundance Mastermind, which is high proximity with me. It's less teaching. It's more of a high level community, small group, and there'll be options to meet in person as well. Again, I'm linking all of these up so you can read about the changes that are coming to Amber Smith Coaching.
I'm really excited about the Abundance Mastermind. It feels very aligned. And like I said, it used to be called the Quiet Wealth Mastermind, but it got confusing with the Quiet Wealth Collective, which is my membership, which I will also link so you can read all the things. So the Abundance Mastermind is a small cohort. The Quiet Wealth Collective is more membership, so it's unlimited enrollment. And depending on how you want to play, how you want to interact in my world, those options are for you.
The last thing that is changing is that I am adding Lightning Bolt Clarity Sessions. And so Lightning Bolt Clarity Sessions are basically like a VIP day with me where we get clear. We spend a chunk of time, like the whole day together, eating together, talking together, coaching together in person. And I'm really, really excited to bring this for the right people. It's not for everyone, but for the right person, I think that this can be an amazing experience for you because I will hold the container for you to get clarity, for you to let the ideas drop, for you to bounce ideas off, and to spend time with me doing maybe some interesting things.
And so those are going to be custom created together. And so you can add your name to the interest list for the Lightning Bolt Clarity also in the bio. So lots of links in the bio. Like I mentioned at the beginning, thank you for staying with me while I talked about my programs. That's not usually the intention of the podcast, but that is what's coming. And I'm not going to tell you the name of my new book yet, but it is coming in 2025 as well. And I'm very, very excited about it. So stay tuned for that.
Thank you for listening to this podcast. Thank you for being a part of my community. Check out those new offers coming in 2025. I think they're going to be a lot of fun and I look forward to seeing you in them as they align. If you have any questions at all, you can email me at [email protected]. You can DM me on Instagram @itsambersmith. I love hearing from you. Okay. Thank you for being here. I'll talk to you next week. Bye.
