Okay, this is so interesting. I started to record this podcast about 12 different times. My mic would always cut out about now, so it's interesting that this is still working. I'm using my phone microphone, so it might sound a little different. And nothing happens by accident, right? Like, I kept trying and trying and trying to record this podcast episode about my book. It’s called Quiet Wealth.
Then I was actually going to record the whole thing, and it would not work, and it was pissing me off. I'm not gonna lie. And so now it's actually a different day. Like, I started recording two days ago, which is crazy. And I finally just submitted to recording on my phone. And as I was about to hit record on my phone, and I was gonna read the book, I was just like, lean in. And it was like a little, like, ping! Like, that's what this episode needs to be about, is how to lean in and just let go. And that has been a message my whole business career and before.
Instead of manhandling things, like, to let go and to let spirit work has been huge for me. And so here we go. We're gonna dive into this. It's gonna be different than I thought, and I'm leaning into it. So this is actually relevant because for the past few months, I've been in a lot of confusion. And what's interesting is, in the beginning of my entrepreneur journey, I hated confusion. It felt like something was wrong. It felt like I needed to change it.
And a lot of times, like, I would force it. And that's what's interesting. So I would be confused, and I would just force my way into a decision or force my way into action. And I would get results. Like, it was sort of like it didn't work. It just didn't work as well as when I submitted to flow. Submitted to more of revelation and inspiration, instead of, like, it has to be this way because I decided it to be so. Just like this happened in the podcast. I'm not surprised that, like, this is happening right this second because this is the podcast that it was meant to be.
And I was missing it because I wanted to do my book. And maybe there will be a future podcast where I do it, and maybe not. Like, maybe I'm not meant to record my podcast for my book. I don't know. I’m open to that. But I see this thing with my clients sometimes where it's like, I have this idea, and I'm gonna make it happen. And this is the eternal question is, like, when do I let go of something because it's not aligned? And when do I, like, push through? Because even though it's hard, like, I'm meant to do it, and push through discomfort.
And so I'm just gonna be honest. I don't know the answer to that question. I've had clients that gave up something, and I've also had clients push through, and they were glad they did. It just depends. What I'm gonna talk about is that spiritual knowing, right? So there's a great book called Happier Than God, and he talks about this. And his name is Neil Donald Walsh, in case you want to check it out. Great book. Happier Than God. And he talks about this idea of the law of opposites, where it's like, if you want something and you try to go for it, like, the first thing that's going to pop up is resistance.
And so what's interesting about this, this is not a past, like, when things are hard that you just, like, oh, it's hard, I can't do it. Because, like, business is hard, and entrepreneurship is hard, and leading people is hard, and parenting is hard, right? Great things have some resistance, but there's a difference between resistance because it's new, resistance because it's challenging, versus resistance because it's wrong. And so one of the things that I'm really aware of right now, because I've been feeling a lot of resistance in my business because changes are coming, and a shift in perspective, and a shift in focus, for me, is coming.
And I've wanted total clarity before I take any action. I've wanted to know every detail before I got started, before I made the shift. And I was actually in a prayer stack, and I realized, like, I just need to let go, right? I just need to trust. I need to turn it over to God and let that be okay. And what's interesting is, as soon as I made peace with my resistance, I got total clarity. And I felt that way about this podcast. I was like, I'm into the book, my mic's not working, I'm into the book, my mic's not working, I'm into the book, my mic's not working, okay, I'll just record on my phone.
And then that little whisper, like, lean in, that's the message. Okay, lean in. And it's interesting when we fight against ourselves, right? It's almost like a war on the inside. We miss the opportunity to move forward. And it's not that there's something wrong with struggling, or not having clarity, or, you know, debating in your own mind about what's the best way forward, but I think there's this spiritual surrender that opens up a lot of possibilities, that makes things smoother, that makes things easier.
That's been kind of my experience in the past few weeks, is just like this turning over, like, okay, doesn't have to be my way, doesn't have to be the way that I think it should be. It's like co-creation, right, with the divine, with God, with source, whatever you want to call it. And for me, it's God. So it's like when I turn it over to God, new possibilities become available that my limited understanding and mind couldn't see before. Like, it was not on my radar to have a podcast about leaning in, right, and letting go.
I was going to try to read my book, but I wouldn't have had that spiritual inspiration if I did to have this podcast. And my guess is that this podcast will land for a specific person or a specific group of people in a way that was required and necessary for their growth and development in this moment. And that's what's so interesting about time, is when we submit to something greater than ourselves, I think we work in harmony with other people and work in harmony with God's plan for everyone, instead of trying to make it happen your way, right?
Our puny little minds, our little egos are like, it has to be this way. And God's like, okay, I mean, you could try it that way, but do you want to try it my way? My experience has been recently is just like, okay, I'm ready to let go of it my way. And it's not that my way hasn't worked. It has. I've grown a successful business, and I feel like things are really working. But one of the things that has really resonated for me is like the sole purpose of why I started my business. It's not that it's been lacking. It's been like at 25%. And I don't think it's because it wasn't at 100%.
At one point in time, it was, it's just that I have grown and evolved as a being. And now there's a new frontier for me, of what's possible, of what I meant to lead, of who I meant to be, of how I meant to show up. And it feels different than it has. And you'll see that come to fruition in the coming months. But it's something that I resisted for a long time, because it was like, this is how it has to be. This is what I saw my mentors do. So it has to be this way. And when I did that, I boxed myself in. And what that looks like, for me, is especially if you're familiar with human design, I'm a manifesting generator. And so I like to bounce around with ideas.
I like to pivot, I like to have a lot going on. My ideas are flowing. And I meant to like change directions. And I resisted that I was like, no, like I have something that's working, right? Like I have the Matrix, and I have Conscious Coach Academy, like, and now I have Quiet Wealth. That's what it is. And it was like, my brain was burst open that like, that is not the only way it has to be. And who I meant to lead is evolving like me. And so for so long, I've been talking to, you know, life coaches. And it's not that I'm not talking to life coaches anymore.
But my leaning in and letting go is expanding more into life and entrepreneurship, life and business. So marriage, parenting, spirituality, wholeness, oneness, mindfulness, money, business, like all of it, instead of constraining what I talk about into one certain thing, like I really want to open the conversation of like, this is what I coach on. I was actually having a conversation recently. Because in my one-on-one coaching, I do all sorts of coaching and mentorship. I do life coaching, I do business mentorship, I do like thought work about money and belief work.
But I do spiritual coaching, right, like more of a faith based coaching, like people's relationships with God. And so I was like, okay, if I am doing all these things behind the scene, what feels an integrity to me is bringing it forward to the front of my brand to the front of my business, which means the podcast, which means my Instagram, which means showing what I'm really doing on a day to day basis. And so this was my message last week about sacred time and this tool that I use called the stack and journaling.
And one of the things I do every single day is the prayer stack, right? So the prayer staff is this like, communion and communication with God directly, where I write and then I have God write back. And so that has been transformational for me, I have had wealth and wisdom in ways pouring in that I couldn't have predicted before the prayer stack. And I was like, how do I integrate this into my programs? And so I'm currently like integrating it with some of my clients, and it's been mind blowing.
And among other things, right, like not just that tool, but like a holistic approach to life success, and a commitment to growth and evolution over your lifetime, not just in your business, but like growth and evolution in motherhood, growth and evolution in marriage, growth and evolution in spirituality, growth and evolution with how much money you make growth and evolution in your understanding and your wisdom in your life. I have this concept in my mind of like the warrior sage. So like, it’s actually four things.
So I have a document, I got this idea from The Ultimate Coach, and he has this idea of a document. And if you're my client listening to this, like we did that work. Or if we haven't, we probably will at some point, right, we create a document for that we speak into existence. And speaking something into existence about who you really are. And one of the lines that I love from Neil Donald Walsh is the grandest version of the greatest vision that you have about yourself. The grandest version of the greatest vision you have about yourself and you speak it and you be it.
And so as I'm evolving, as my business evolving, you are evolving and so is your business and so is your family, right? It never ends because this personal expansion is eternal. I really believe that. Our soul craves expansion and experience and growth and coming to understand who we really are. That's my experience of life so far. And I can only speak to what I've experienced. So that's what's been missing in my business is this soulfulness, this spiritual aspect of development and speaking to it and leading it and coaching it and sharing it.
And it feels exciting. And I resisted it for a long time because I didn't want people to feel like I was not serving them the way that they came to originally. And so either people will pivot with me or they'll leave. And I made peace with that. And so if you're still listening to this, it'll be interesting to hear your take, like, I hope you come with me on the pivot. And if you don't, that's okay. But for me, the four domains of life, my relationships with my husband and kids, my body and my fitness, and my strength, and my flexibility, and my nutrition and all of that, like my body, my business, and then my being.
Being is myself and my relationship with God. And the more that I learn to know myself, the more that I've come to know God. And so I'm not going to hide that part of my growth and evolution anymore. Not like, I never hid it. It was just something that I would mention. And so I'm excited to integrate these four things into my work as a coach, as a mentor, as a thought person. I heard this the other day, like as a person in the wisdom economy, which I really love. So the wisdom economy to me is like I get paid for my wisdom. It sounds kind of silly to think about it, but it's true.
People join my one-on-one containers so that we can have a relationship where we share wisdom with each other, right? They share their wisdom with me and I share mine with them. And something new is created because of that. In my mastermind, it's like we all share our wisdom together and something new, something better is created because of that. In my group programs, in my courses, like there's a wisdom exchange. And I love that. That feels totally true to who I am.
But I'm excited to expand that into like what I call quiet wealth or holistic success, personal expansion, growth and evolution over a lifetime. However you think about it, leaning into spiritual promptings, leaning into your intuition, leaning into what you feel called to, right? That calling on your heart, that vision, the greatest version of the grandest vision you could hold about yourself and leaning into it and allowing some parts of what you've created to die and evolve.
Because like when I think about even evolution in nature, right? Like there's a letting go in the seasons. There's a shedding of old skin. There is a death and a rebirth, which is something that I've gone through before. I remember when I let go of becoming a therapist, it felt like a death to my dreams. And I felt weird in motherhood. I did. Because I was like, for years, I've been planning on being a therapist and I'm just not going to be. And there was this death. And then I was reborn as a mom.
And then I died again because I realized I don't want to be just a stay-at-home mom. I want to work. And so there's a death and a rebirth into my entrepreneur phase. And then even in my entrepreneur journey, there's been deaths and rebirths. And many of you have witnessed that. Some of you have been listening since the beginning and some of you are new, but maybe if you've gone back, I have evolved over and over again because that's what life is. It's a remembering of who we really are, which means there's a death and a rebirth cycle.
And I feel like I'm in one of those right now. And it's interesting that this lesson was for sure for me, like, lean in and let go. It wasn't something of my mind and heart, but it is now. It's like, lean in and let go, so that I can more fully access the divine wisdom that is trying to work itself into my mind, into my heart, into my soul and be expressed, which I think is a unique part of our day and age where we have access to the internet and social media and email and podcasts where we can share our message.
I was actually teaching this in the CCA this week. It's like, God answers prayers through other people. And so for many business owners, you know, your product, your service, your offer is not just a product, service or offer. It is an answer to prayer for someone. And when you think about it that way, it takes on a whole new meaning, right? It's not just, make some money. It's like transform someone's soul experience on earth.
I say that, that can sound heavy or serious, but I see it as such an opportunity to do this work and to lead people and to be with people through their ups and their downs, their private struggles and their public struggles, celebrating the wins that they can't celebrate with anyone else. Like, I feel very honored to do that work. And I feel this expansion happening where there is a lot more that I can do if I'm willing to lean in and let go. And so wherever you're at in your seasons, where can you lean in? Where can you let go?
And to me, leaning in and letting go, it's this faith experiment. I actually posted on my Instagram, faith is both action and surrender at the same time. And I've been thinking about that a lot because I feel like I'm taking a leap of faith right now in my business into this next iteration of myself, that things might not land the way that I think that they will, or maybe things will take a different direction, or I can't predict how it's going to go, but I feel good about it. And so I'm going to lean in and let go.
And for you, you can apply this so many different places, but sometimes it's like leaning in and letting go in parenting. If something's not working in how you're relating and how you're parenting and how you're disciplining with your kids, it might be time to lean in and let go and try something new and mostly like have a death and rebirth cycle in yourself. Like maybe you need to become a new parent. In your marriage, there should be death and rebirth because as you are evolving, so is your spouse, right? And so like, if things don't feel good, it's time for a death and a rebirth and a new creation.
A new form is made when we go through the death and the rebirth cycle, when we lean in and let go, instead of resisting and instead of trying to keep things the same, or like our egos love to like, this is the way I decided, so it's got to be this way. And it's like, we miss so much opportunity for wealth and wisdom to come in when we do that because the death and rebirth cycle is a creative cycle. Something new is created at the end of it.
And so, to lean in and let go and let the death happen of who we have been, of who we thought we were, of what we thought life would be, and to enter into a new cycle of birth, to open up new possibilities and become someone new, that's what this life is all about. And so, lean in and let go. And just notice how that feels in your body. Lean in and let go. Something new can be created when we do that.
And especially like, for me, you know, everyone's heard that line, like, what we resist persists. When we have resistance, I've noticed in myself, it's because I'm attached to something, whether that's someone's perception of me, whether that's like, that's how it's always been done, or like, I made this goal a year ago, like, this is me following through. So it's interesting, because like, there's this conversation about commitment, and follow through and discipline.
And there's this conversation about flexibility and flow. What's interesting, I think it's beautifully intertwined. We can be committed to becoming the highest version of ourselves that we can imagine. And we can be flexible in our approach. We can be committed to creating financial freedom and be flexible in how we get there. We can be committed to leading people, coaching people, serving people, being a thought leader, being a certain kind of parent, or having a certain level of impact, and be flexible in how that looks on a day-to-day basis or a weekly basis, or even a yearly basis.
But being willing to lean in and let go at any moment, it just makes the process go smoother and quicker. When I'm in resistance, this is what's interesting, is like, it slows the whole thing down versus me being willing to lean in and let go. It speeds it along, but it feels slow, right? Because like, we have to be still, like that scripture, “Be still and know that I am God.” We have to be still to access the divine part of ourselves that has the wisdom for where we're going.
However you do that, whether that's prayer stacking, whether that's journaling, whether that's meditating or praying, we have to take time to do that work, which feels counterintuitive to getting things done in the productive mentality where we're like, get as much done as possible in a day. It's like, there has to be some slowness to access soul, and that's leaning in and letting go. And so that's what I'm feeling today, definitely feeling this feeling, not to slow down my action, but to slow down the quality of everything, right?
To slow down my mind, to hear God's voice speaking words into my life and where I'm meant to go, feels different than just like, go, go, go, hustle, hustle, hustle, make something happen, make something happen, make something happen. I'm not trying to make something happen, I'm co-creating. And that's a completely different experience, completely different approach.
I mentioned in my Sacred Time episode last week, I've been spending my mornings with me and with God, and it has opened up possibilities in my mind and new concepts and connections and ideas that were not available to me when I was trying to hustle through. Slowing down is an aspect of leaning in and letting go. And so just notice what's coming to you right now, because like, this episode isn't just about me, but I want it to be useful for you.
Like, where does leaning in and letting go apply to your life? And what can you do today to do more of it? What can you do today to slow down, to hear the message that's trying to reach you, but you're so busy trying to make it happen in your timeline, in your way, that you can't even hear it? That was me. So I say that without judgment, just an observation. Like, when we're trying to make it happen in your way, you miss how it could be.
And the creative solutions and the spiritual solutions that can come to you when you slow down your mind enough for you to hear them. So that's my invitation for you. I am curious what you think about this episode, so if you liked it, let me know. And I'll talk to you soon. Bye.
