Today we are diving ideas, quotes, and tools to help you amplify the power of fresh starts.
Before we begin, I wanted to share 2 quick updates:
The Lighthouse Mentorship, my group coaching cohort for one person businesses, is starting January 8th. Once we begin, enrollment will close. There is still time to join us:

There is one spot available for my mastermind, for the right person, this is an opportunity for you to work closely with me during 2025. It's a hybrid of a small cohort (6 max) and 1:1 calls with me. Read more here.

Ok. Let's jump into the Friday Five.
1*
On the Beginner's Mind
"We tend to believe that the more we know, the more clearly we can see the possibilities available. This is not the case. The impossible only becomes accessible when experience has not taught us limits...
There's a great power. in not knowing. When faced with a challenging task, we may tell ourselves it's too difficult, it's not worth the effort, it's not the way things are done, it's not likely to work, or it's not likely to work for us. If we approach a task with ignorance, it can remove the barricade of knowledge blocking progress. Curiously, not being aware of a challenge may be just what we need to rise to it."
- Rick Rubin in The Creative Act
2*
On Morning Pages
Everyday is your chance to experience a fresh start, and clean the slate of your mind.
One of my favorite ways to do this is morning pages, a concept made popular from Julia Cameron's book The Artist's Way.
Wake up, open your journal, and write for 3 pages. Don't worry about what you're writing, use it like a meditation.
Write anything.
Write what you're thinking.
Write what you want to do.
Write what you want to experience.
Just write 3 pages, every day.
3* On Your New Life
"Your new life is going to cost you your old one.
It's going to cost you your comfort zone and your sense of direction.
It's going to cost you relationships and friends.
It's going to cost you being liked and understood.
It doesn't matter.
The people who are meant for you are going to meet you on the other side.
You're going to build a new comfort zone around the things that actually move you forward.
Instead of being liked, you're going to be loved.
Instead of being understood, you're going to be seen.
All you're going to lose is what was built for a person you no longer are"
- Brianna Wiest, The Mountain Is You
4* On Tidying Up
"The question of what you want to own is actually the question of how you want to live your life."
- Marie Kondo
5* On Defining Yourself
Give up defining yourself - to yourself or to others. You won't die. You will come to life. And don't be concerned with how others define you. When they define you, they are limiting themselves, so it's their problem. Whenever you interact with people, don't be there primarily as a function or a role, but as the field of conscious Presence. You can only lose something you have, but you cannot lose something that you are."
- Eckhart Tolle, A New Earth
Thanks for reading, and Happy New Year!
Cheers to YOUR fresh start.
With love,
Amber
