Creating a Bespoke Business

Today I'm sharing one of the biggest breakthroughs I've had as a business coach...

And it might surprise you.

It wasn't when one of my clients hit a huge milestone. (even though that's really fun too.)

The backstory..

I had been coaching Amy (made up name to preserve privacy) for months.

She had taken multiple business courses, we had tweaked her offer, her messaging...

We had gone deep into mindset coaching about her thoughts about herself as a sales person and entrepreneur....

And she was making progress... not predictably, but steadily.

One day she came to our private call together and seemed emotional.

I asked her what was up and she said "I feel like I had the greatest breakthrough..."

I sat in anticipation. What had finally clicked??

She continued, "I don't even want to charge $2k. And I don't even want 10 clients. I want to charge $100 a session. And I only want like 5 clients. And this feels GREAT to me."

I was taken back...

It rang SO true for her.

But it's not at all what we had been working on....

Throughout the session she shared that she had bought in to so many other coaches plans for her....

She bought into the idea of selling high ticket...

She bought into taking on enough clients to hit the milestones like $10k months or $100k years...

But it was never what she actually wanted.

And in our call that day, she had finally come to terms and shared with me, the kind of business she really wanted. Not the business she thought she should have. Not the business that would look good on Instagram. Not the business that her peers had.... Her. Bespoke. Business.

I'd like to tell you another story.

Jenna (another made up name to preserve client privacy) and I met because my client, her friend, had connected us.

She had a big vision.

Thousands of women impacted by her frameworks and coaching methodology.

Community.

Thousands of lives changed because of her coaching offers.

We started working together as she wanted to bring her vision to life from an internal place of abundance, peace of mind, and trust.

In a few of her sessions, we were both moved to tears by the size, detail, and power of the vision she saw... The vision she was stewarding.

She's still laying the groundwork for that grand vision. Scaling a multi-million dollar coaching business isn't a quick thing you do overnight, after all.

But I was moved... because this was her bespoke business. 

Her desire for a big, well known business was clear, compelling, and true.

I loved watching her ideas come together, her team come together, and her plan for scaling reveal itself.

And yet, her business was drastically different from my first client's story....

Both of these incredible clients have impacted me in ways that are hard to describe.

They taught me that there is no "right" business.

There is no morally superior business.

Making money is not the only part of business people like.

Making money is more than okay, too.

I help my clients create businesses they actually want.

That was my biggest breakthrough from sharing these two stories.
